This is Sara

Hello everybody! Here I am, at last. I don't have much time these days to visit the blog because of Sara. In fact, she is now with me, sleeping in my arms, and I have yo write this with just one finger.
She was born on March 24th, and she is so beautiful... you can see her in this photo:

Exchange ='(

If no one upload ... There is a photo =D

Just an idea...

Why don´t any of you tell something about your travel to Teignmouth? We´d like to know your experiences... and you can hang some photo...

Your scores in the two last weeks

As you can see, good marks this week, not so good last week.

Hi! On the keyboard...

^^

I don’t know what it's supposed I have to write here… so… I’ll look for something on the Internet…

Wikipeda, of course..

“Mathematics is the academic discipline, and its supporting body of knowledge, that involves the study of such concepts as quantity, structure, space and change. The mathematician Benjamin Peirce called it "the science that draws necessary conclusions".[2]
Other practitioners of mathematics maintain that mathematics is the science of
pattern, and that mathematicians seek out patterns whether found in numbers, space, science, computers, imaginary abstractions, or elsewhere.[3][4] Mathematicians explore such concepts, aiming to formulate new conjectures and establish their truth by rigorous deduction from appropriately chosen axioms and definitions.
Through the use of
abstraction and logical reasoning, mathematics evolved from counting, calculation, measurement, and the systematic study of the shapes and motions of physical objects. Knowledge and use of basic mathematics have always been an inherent and integral part of individual and group life. Refinements of the basic ideas are visible in mathematical texts originating in the ancient Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Indian, Chinese, Greek and Islamic worlds. Rigorous arguments first appeared in Greek mathematics, most notably in Euclid's Elements. The development continued in fitful bursts until the Renaissance period of the 16th century, when mathematical innovations interacted with new scientific discoveries, leading to an acceleration in research that continues to the present day.
Today, mathematics is used throughout the world as an essential tool in many fields, including
natural science, engineering, medicine, and the social sciences such as economics and psychology. Applied mathematics, the branch of mathematics concerned with application of mathematical knowledge to other fields, inspires and makes use of new mathematical discoveries and sometimes leads to the development of entirely new disciplines. Mathematicians also engage in pure mathematics, or mathematics for its own sake, without having any application in mind, although practical applications for what began as pure mathematics are often discovered later.”

I have written/paste very much, isn’t it?

Enjoy it =)

And we were talking about...

Hello everybody.
As you already know the mathematician we were talking about was Fibonacci. Five of you gave the right answer, but only two got 8 or more points. Anyway the points you have got this term will accumulate for the next one, so we hope you'll go on playing to guess the second mathematician.
POINTS

Participants Answer Points
Mª DEL MAR SÁNCHEZ Isaac Newton 0
SERGIO FERNÁNDEZ Fibonacci 9
LORENA MIÑANO Fibonacci 8
JUAN MANUEL ALBA Fibonacci 7
JAVI JIMÉNEZ Fibonacci 7
PATRICIA FERRER Fibonacci 5

Hello.
These are the marks you (people in option B) have got in the last two weeks. Remember that the average of the marks of the term represents the 20% in the evaluation. If you want to comment something about your mark, you can do it here in the blog, or in class next Tuesday.
Have a nice weekend.
